#WhereIsRa?: Windowpane Shoot NYC

Welcome to my blog! Today I will be talking about a photoshoot I had in New York City.

Yesterday I went to New York to get some photos taken of me in my new Charcoal Windowpane suit from Combatant Gentleman. I enlisted the help of the very talented photographer, Fox Hutson to help me with my vision. We started in Dumbo, Brooklyn because that’s where I started painting on location (with my easel and iPad.) confidently. After making our way around Brooklyn Bridge Park we took the ferry over to Wall St and then Soho. I’m new to wearing such an “in your face” pattern in my suit so I made sure I created an illustration before I even bought it.

To be honest my black tie is underutilized because I prefer to wear bolder patterns. With windowpane it was better to scale things back and let the shirt and suit be the ones that carried the pattern. Suit by Combatant Gentleman, shirt by H&M, sunglasses by Warby Parker, tie, pocket square, socks and tie bar by The Tie Bar, shoes by Dexter Comfort. Photography by Fox Hutson.
