Today I want to talk about my student, RJ. For the past year I have been working with him one to one to help improve his iPad Art. RJ is a student in high school whose is interested in Cartooning and Animation. We’ve been working on composition, draftsmanship, and other art techniques. 

As of right now we’ve worked with Brushes Redux and Procreate. RJ likes the instant feedback with the time lapse record feature so he can see his progress in real time. For our most recent classes I had him try his hand at the iPad Pro. 

I quickly noticed his lines became more confident and fluid with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. He is still adjusting to the pressure sensitivity because he was so used to the iPad Air and with each class it becomes more natural for him.

RJ has experience with traditional media so my  lessons are geared towards life drawing and cartooning technique to help him with both mediums. I am very proud of the progress is making in such a short amount of time and look forward to seeing what he comes up with next.
