I have wanted to paint another realistic portrait of an actress I admire and respect for a few weeks. Now that I am on vacation I have the time to dedicate to creating a portrait like this. I chose to paint Tracee Ellis Ross because she’s a great actress and I enjoy her character on Blackish. For painting I used the oriental brush for broad details and then the round brush for the finer details in the Procreate app. To blend I used the wet acrylic tool. Experimentation leads to my pieces having more vitality and vibrancy to him. Check out painting and the steps below.
