Paris: Square Louise Michel

I wanted to squeeze in as many tourist spots as possible during my stay in Paris. Part of my time in France would be spent in Avignon so it was important to make everything count. After visiting The Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe I made my way to Montmartre. Before I got there I stopped by Square Louise Michel. I had a nice view of the Parisian streets from where I was sitting and I decided to create some plein air art.

Paris has some beautiful archecture to say the least. I also loved how different the homes were compared to the US. One balcony stood out to me because it had the French flag placed near one of the windows. It was a beautiful summer day and the temperature was 80 degrees and not too humid. Painting from direct observation is one of my favorite activities while traveling. It’s how I immerse myself in a new place. Painting created using Procreate on iPad Pro.
