#WhereIsRa?: Central Park West and DUMBO

Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about my latest endeavors in New York City.

Last weekend was very exciting and eventful. On Saturday I participated in “Innovation of Art” An International Fine Arts Exhibition in New York City. It was a group show held at the West Park Gallery. Like my Orbit Gallery showing I brought my easel and iPad to create some paintings from life. Attendees came over to my work station in droves as I worked. It was an amazing experience and a great turnout. I exhibited my Ellen Page iPad Canvas Print. On Sunday before I left New York I stopped by DUMBO, Brooklyn to paint from life. For those that don’t know DUMBO means Directly under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. There’s a park and it’s right by the water with an incredible view of Manhattan. It was a crowded area and I very quickly had onlookers watching me work. Before I knew it people were taking photos of me like paparazzi. There were a lot of eyes on me. I ended up running out of cards because I networked with so many people. It was a wonderful experiment and I will be going back to DUMBO to keep generating buzz before moving to a different spot in NYC. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Jeff Chery for taking amazing photos of me while I painted and Jean Paul Germain for coming through to support my events.
