#WhereIsRa?: Flipboard and MDAC

Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about my recent trip to Palo Alto, California.

I just got back from an amazing business trip from Palo Alto, California. I went to visit Flipboard’s offices and for The Mobile Digital Arts And Creativity Summit. I was invited to Flipboard to discuss how I use the app and how it helps my art career. Meeting everyone at Flipboard and seeing it’s inner workings was very exciting. I use the app often so I can appreciate all of the work they do. Flipboard is also in a position to introduce me to a new audience but more on that later. Special thanks to Barrie Levinson and Mia Quagliarello.

The Mobile Digital Arts and Creativity Summit was an event ran by Sumit Vishwakarma and Caroline Mustard. It was hosted at The Pacific Art League and ran for the weekend. The turnout was spectacular and it makes me hopeful for the future of the medium. Work was printed out on aluminum and featured many artists and styles. Veteran artists like Susan Murtaugh, Julia Kay, and more were there to run workshops. I have never seen so many people in one room painting on iPads. It was truly amazing. As I sit here typing this the whole experience seems surreal. I’m extremely honored that I could be a part of it. Special thanks to Susan Murtaugh, Sumit Vishwakarma, Caroline Mustard, Claire Iris Schencke and Nini Teves Lapuz.
