Graphic Recording: Yale Innovation Summit

I had the privilege of attending Yale’s Innovation Summit this year for the “arts track.” This was a conference for used on discussions centered on topics like biotech, climate, the arts, health and tech. For talks like this I greatly enjoy practicing my graphic recording skills to play an active part in absorbing the conversation I’m taking in. I attended two talks (Reimagining the Creative Economy and Why Yale? Why New Haven? Why Now?) and created multiple illustrations to capture them.

To start I went on the Yale Innovation Summit website to see what their color palette was for the branding. Next I created a few illustrations with their banner and logos and the title of each talk. I kept everything minimal unlike the work I did for 52 Places because it made more sense to have white icons supported by their brand colors. All art created using Procreate on iPad Pro.
