Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about my rendition of the iconic MetroCard.

I remember getting acclimated to taking the subway in New York City. I was going to SVA at the time and taking the 6 train from Grand Central to get to school. I tried to keep my MetroCard full so I could save time at the machines. MetroCards are so nostalgic and iconic that I just had to paint the one I keep in my wallet. Whenever I refill my card or get a new one I think back to squeezing in packed subway cars like sardines just to make it to class on time. These pieces are for commuters and New Yorkers alike. Now if the MTA would stop raising the fares that would be amazing. Artwork created in Procreate.
