Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about the meanings behind some of my paintings.

I did an illustration involving a pack of American Spirit cigarettes. Does that mean I promote smoking? Absolutely not. That painting captures the bar atmosphere and a moment in time. It’s the same with my “Junk Food Pop Art.” Think of them not as food products but enduring American icons. It fascinates me how long these brands have existed. We all know junk food is seen as a guilty pleasure. It tastes great but is terrible for you. Personally despite the art I create I don’t touch the stuff. I’m more interested in depicting the brand aka what’s on the outside. Typography, vibrant colors and childhood memories are what these works represent.
