Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be discussing my latest painting.

When I was a kid (maybe eight or nine.) my family and I planted sunflowers in the front yard. I was amazed at how enormous they grew to be. They seemed really seemed liked giants. Eventually we moved to a new place in New Haven but the sunflowers didn’t survive the trip because they don’t transplant well. Sunflowers carry a lot of nostalgia for me so I created this ArtRage painting to capture that. It’s realistic but I made sure not to get bogged down in every single little detail.
