Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about what exactly iPad Art is.

Let me start by saying that I’m an artist and a teacher. I’m very passionate about educating my viewers and potential digital artists about the medium that is iPad Art. At first glance most people assume it’s simply photo manipulation or that the program is doing all of the work. This post is about helping people understand how I use a tablet to create art. Digital art itself ins’t new. Artists have been using Wacom tablets and programs like Photoshop and Illustrator for a while now. iPad Art has it’s similarities but it’s a different beast. iPad Art to me is very similar to traditional drawing and painting. I just swapped out paper for glass. I still sketch, illustrate and paint everything I create. I can just take it anywhere now and I don’t make a mess with oils, acrylics or charcoal.
