#WhereIsRa?: Times Square
November 13, 2014Welcome to my blog! In this post I will be talking about my latest illustration.
Last weekend I went into Manhattan to do some more iPad painting on location. I took my easel and planned to hit Times Square, Columbus Circle and Williamsburg. It was colder than I thought so I just stuck to Times Square for a few hours to complete a single study. What I love about painting in populated areas is that I get to engage my audience person to person. Social Media has been tremendously helpful for making people aware of my iPad Art but this is more rewarding. Everyone that stopped by my spot was extremely enthusiastic about what I was doing. For this piece I wanted to put the new Sketchbook Pro through it’s paces. Specifically the synthetic brushes. As I painted I simplified what I was seeing and distilled it into an abstract piece.
